Making the most of your wedding setting

The setting for your weddings is arguably one of the most important elements of the big day. As well as being immortalised in wedding photography, a stunning backdrop will set the mood and provide context to the story of your special day.

Whether you’re opting for country opulence, urban chic or a mixture of both, it’s important that the backdrop reflects the story your telling while accentuating key elements and representing you as a couple. So how do you inject your own style into proceedings and what can you do to make the most of that all important wedding venue?

Chose a statement backdrop

Whether it’s a striking light display, a wall of vibrant florals or an iconic cityscape at night, you want the background to compliment the feel of your day. Fortunately, Altitude London can offer all three with in-house AV teams, expert floral suppliers and panoramic views of London’s world famous skyline!

Consider paying particular attention to the top table backdrop and include elements from your colour scheme and floral choices. Add a few intricate details like ribbons, favourite flowers, style of chair, candles, a bespoke wedding breakfast menu, his & her cocktails and an opulent dessert station (great for photos!) which showcase you as a couple and give a more personalised feel. Family photographs are another nice touch so speak to parents, brothers and sisters and see if they can fish out any of those old treasures!

The finer details

A wedding should reflect the couple getting married. As such, we love the idea of making a few subtle nods to the happy couple with a few well-considered background touches andMaking the most of your wedding setting detailing. Whether that be table place cards representing destinations the couple have visited, an acapella version of the couples favourite song or even mini bottles of homemade gin made specially for the day.

It’s always nice for guests to find out more about the couple during their big day and it’s the perfect excuse to celebrate your lives together. Make it personal and invite guests to learn a little more about your relationship through the details.

Just remember, a day as special as your wedding deserves a backdrop to match. Aim to add a personal touch and remember those all important details! For more information about holding your big day at Altitude London, get in touch with our wedding team here.
