Best for TRADITIONAL weddings Iscoyd Park, Shropshire  - an award-winning Grade-II* listed Georgian house set within 18th century parkland and gardens, with 14 rooms available either in the main house or in the grounds. This historical family home has been lovingly restored and retains its family feel. The Garden Room has a fully stocked bar, managed by Jamie Stephenson, 5 times world cocktail making champion.

Capacity: up to 130 for a civil ceremony in the Garden Room and 160 seated in marquee plus a maximum of 18 standing. Option to marry in St Mary’s Church on edge of estate.

Best for RETRO weddings - Pennard House, Somerset - A Grade-II listed 17th Century country manor house in the quiet village of East Pennard, the house has been a welcoming family home for generations and a busy working farm. Capacity: the Coach House is perfect for intimate groups of 50 up to 120, in the evening it sits 150.

Weddings can be held in the 14th century church just beyond the garden, civil services sit 80 in Pennard House or on the licensed Garden Pavilion on the croquet lawn next to the house.

years of history, the family-owned Grade II listed Wasing Estate is a collection of 18th century buildings with a total of 26 bedrooms. The house boasts ‘the biggest bed in Berkshire’ in its Hay Loft room, while the Stables Lodge holds 10 bedrooms, and party organisers have the opportunity to add on suites and quirky buildings (Smithy, Granary, Dovecote, Coach House and Pump House).

Capacity: ceremonies from up to 140 in The Garden Room, 140 in Victorian Summerhouse or up to 100 in St Nicolas Church on the estate.
