Healthy wedding day preparation

Simple steps to help you prepare for a healthy wedding day

While it’s important not to fluctuate too much in the run up to your wedding (or at least not past the final dress fitting!), keeping your heart healthy by working out and eating well is a fantastic way to tone up, improve health and produce those much-needed endorphins.

To boost your body confidence well in advance of your big day, why not try changing up a few of your routines so that when it comes to picking the perfect dress, or just feeling confident walking down the aisle, you’ll be feeling and looking fantastic!

Change up your diet for a healthy wedding day

Healthy wedding planningEnsure your diet is full of the nutrition that you need – and make sure you keep an eye on calories. The calories you need to maintain a healthy lifestyle varies depending on your age, metabolism and levels of physical activity. Make fruit and veg the focus of your meals, as well as pulses, wholegrains, reduced-fat dairy products, lean red meat, poultry, fish and eggs for a really healthy approach.

The LighterLife Fast 5:2 diet is a brilliant weight loss or weight maintenance option as they offer a huge range of convenient and delicious meals, pots, bars and shakes. It’s perfect for fitting around busy lifestyles as you don’t need to worry about your calorie or nutrition intake – simply choose any four LighterLife Fast products to consume on any two days of the week, and you’ll be getting 100% of your recommended daily vitamins and minerals! On your non-fast days you can eat whatever you normally would, but for better results remember to make healthy food choices.

Get your body moving

You don’t have to fork out on an expensive gym membership to keep active. Why not go for a walk around the block on your lunchbreak or pick a parking spot a little further away from the supermarket? Try taking the stairs instead of the lift, or do a few lengths in the pool at the weekend.

Healthy wedding workout

For some workout inspiration, James Griffiths from Wild Training has created a simple fitness routine based on less than 30 minutes of exercise. See if you can fit this workout into your week at least three times!
