Weddings Go To The Dogs As Puppy Love Grips The Nation

Weddings Go To The Dogs As Puppy Love Grips The Nation

In the past, all you needed for a fairy tale wedding was something old, new, borrowed and blue. However, now it seems pet pooches have been added to the list of must-haves, as half (46%) of British dog owners profess their dog is key for the paw-fect celebrations, which begs the question, has man’s best friend become man’s best man, too? According to a new survey from EUKANUBA1, the advanced pet nutrition brand, this is the case for one in eight (13%) British dog owners who hope to have their dogs as their best man.

DOGS and royal weddings are set to become one of this year’s big themes – and Princess Eugenie’s forthcoming nuptials could be no exception.

Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tie the knot at Windsor Castle on October 12th – and there’s speculation as to what part the Princess’s devoted dog – also called Jack - will play in their big day.

Meghan Markle’s rescue dog Guy was said to be the hit of the Royal wedding reception when she married Prince Harry in May - so could it be second time around for a ‘furrytail’ ending?

You don’t have to be a Princess to want your precious pet to be involved in such a special day.

Thanks to dog sitting specialists Barking Mad, you no longer have to ‘paws’ for thought when it comes to your dog attending your wedding as a VIP.

Dogs Trust Wedding Favour

As you prepare to embark on the most important day of your life, there are so many things to consider – from chasing RSVP’s to planning bridal party outfits and not to mention organising favours. While you’re putting the finishing touches to your big day, why not spare a thought for thousands of homeless hounds across the country who are not yet lucky enough to find ‘the one’, and instead of opting for traditional edible favours, make a donation to Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, on behalf of your guests.
